Carl Laferton's The First Easter Sticker and Activity Book will keep your child turning pages to learn more about the real Easter.
This workbook style has a nice tough cover and the inside pages are glossy, bright and colorful. The illustrations by Jennifer Davison are eye-catching and go along wonderfully with the topic.
Mr. Laferton breaks down the Easter story by explaining Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, Jesus' Crucifixion, His Resurrection, His appearances to others, His Ascension, and the Holy Spirit.
Every page has at least one activity for the kids to do.
There are over 60 stickers for your child to place and what is really nice is that these stickers can be removed and reused in the book again!
Side notes throughout the book contain the Scripture reference for each topic so that the reader can read and learn more.
I would highly recommend this book to any Christian family with children ages 3-7. Also, The First Easter: Sticker and Activity Book would be a great addition to any Sunday school, children's church classroom, or church nursery.
In the lead up to Easter this week, we've been using this activity book alongside our "God's Big Promises Bible storybook" during our morning times. We would go through a Bible story, followed by two pages of crossword/ maze/ stickering/ tracing, in which my 5 and 7 year-olds really enjoyed. The stickers were fun in particular, but we had difficulty in peeling them and some of them got ripped. But overall we really enjoy this resource and I would recommend for families to use as a fun devo or as part of a homeschooling curriculum, or it would make a meaningful Sunday School gift!
Note: I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review of this resource. I'm so thankful for The Good Book Company for their faithful and engaging resources!
I received God’s Big Promises The First Easter Sticker and Activity Book compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
God’s Big Promises The First Easter Sticker and Activity Book is a sticker and activity book for kids based on the Easter story presented in God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook. This book is designed for kids ages 4-7 and includes glossy pages full of fun activities. Some of the activities are word puzzles, mazes, and writing worksheets. The pages contain some of the stories from the Bible storybook and include Scripture references so children know where to find the accounts in Scripture.
This is a really fun sticker and activity book and it would be a great addition to an Easter bask for a big kid. In the past, I’ve filled my children’s Easter baskets with coloring and sticker books that have featured their favorite movie and TV characters and I’m thankful to have this Christ centered book as an option too!
This sticker and activity book goes with the storybook bible, "God's Big Promises." But you don't need the storybook to use the activity page. After each section you are directed to a passage on the Bible to read. I would recommend the activity books for 5+. The word search may be too difficult for younger ones. We did have difficulty with peeling the stickers.
Fun activity book with different activities such as puzzles decide, word search, and many more. Fun way to learn and/or refresh what Easter is all about.
This sticker activity book will bring the Easter story to life! My kids had a blast interacting with this book, and it gave me the opportunity to talk about the Easter story. They especially loved the puzzle stickers - helping us get excited for Palm Sunday!
A Joyful Way to Teach Your Children
The book is based on God's Big Promises Bible Storybook. Carl Laferton's faithful adaptation of the Easter story combined with vivid illustrations by Jennifer Davison make for a joyful way to teach your children about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.
I received a media copy of God's Big Promises Easter Sticker and Activity Book and this is my honest review.
This activity book is a fun interactive way to get your children learning about the story of Easter! With stickers and puzzles, your children will learn about the story of Christ's ministry, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension into heaven. There are also suggested Scripture readings to read along with the activities. I look forward to doing this with my children when they are older!
Thank you @thegoodbookcompanyusa for a copy of this book for my honest thoughts!
My kids loved this activity book. The stickers and illustrations are perfect and engaging for Holy Week. My 7 year old was able to complete here independently. My 6 year old struggled with the word searches, but the rest was right at her age level. The rating says for 3+ but I would definitely lean more towards 5+ because most of the activities require at least basic Kindergarten skills.
The beautiful illustrations that we loved in the God's Big Promises storybook Bible combined with fun activities for your kids. I'll be tucking this one away for my kids to use & enjoy over the next few weeks.
God’s Big Promises: The First Easter written by Carl Laferton, illustrated by Jennifer Davison. Published by The Good Book Company 2024
Easter baskets are often filled with all types of goodies, from candy to coloring books. Our family isn't much of the basket type, but any family would be blessed to receive a copy of The First Easter from the God’s Big Promises series by Carl Laferton. My girls (ages 7 and 9) and I read through this book, and it was a hit! We loved the colorful pages, stickers and activities. As a mom, I think the greatest gift is the invitation to actually read the Easter story from the Bible itself. The scripture references go from Matthew chapter 21 all the way to Acts chapter 1. Each section of the book has a passage explaining a part of the Easter story, an activity, stickers and the scripture reference.
Most other activity books are heavy on the puzzles but do not tell a cohesive story. This IS NOT that! The First Easter gives a complete story of Easter. I love the versatility of this book. The colorful pages are filled with opportunities to connect with the story, great for an antsy child in a church service, a homeschooling parent, or to be used as a family devotional. The easy to trace letters allow children to interact with the text as well as practice handwriting, letter recognition and spelling.
This book is an overall win for us. I would recommend it for children ages 3-8. It's filled with truth, facts and fun!
