This book is so helpful... it distils the timeless principles of Scripture with relevance for today.
... very helpful ...an excellent approach
... squeezes a tremendous amount into a small space... it would form a very useful basis for discussion groups
I'm not a great expert on Christian books about marriage and relationships but I liked this one! John Richardson goes through 1 Corinthians 7 clearly and with good biblical reasoning for his explanations. He's also worked hard to bring out relevant applications and he's not afraid to challenge people. This book helped me to grow in bible knowledge, changed some of my thoughts and attitudes towards marriage and singleness - and above all challenged my to be seeking first the kingdom of God. Brilliant!
A very readable and practical book. A good biblical framework was used to address the subject matter and the application was great.
I haven't finished the book yet but so far I have found John Richardsons approach to this potential "mine field" very helpful and amusing. He takes a very objective and uncomplicated (but thoughtful) look at he Scriptures and provides some very helpful observations and sugestions. I can't think of any other book I've read on this subject which is so faithful to the Scriptures.
