Really helpful

Catherine Brooks, 2 Jan 2017

This book, as the title suggests, helps us deal with that disappointment in an appropriate way so that we can use it to focus all the more on Christ’s return. … I found all of it really helpful: it really is a breath of fresh air.... continue reading

“A must read”

(Review written for 'Dealing with Disappointment')

I have read this book twice and will read it again. There is so much gentle and encouraging wisdom in it's pages. The style is easy going, the chapters are brief and the points are well made and argued. I bought a few copies for friends and fellow church members. You won't be disappointed if you buy a copy and read it, rather you will be blessed.

“So encouraging”

(Review written for 'Dealing with Disappointment')

I found this book really encouraging and helpful. I'm biased, because I'm part of the author's church family, but I wouldn't leave a review if I didn't think it was really good!

“Very useful concepts for daily life and disappointments.”

(Review written for 'Dealing with Disappointment')

We all get disappointed and this book puts several interesting ideas forward to help us come to terms with our experience. I appreciated the ideas of under disappointed and over disappointed and have started to use those terms when looking at my life. Also in the end all things come under the perspective of eternity. It is good to know it is OK to be disappointed and in some situations it is a sign of our longing for the coming of the King.
