Sized just right for little ones, this sturdy board book offers opportunities to seek out details and lift-the-flap to discover bits of the story. Charming illustrations veer off the traditional "Christmas red & green" pallet and bring in a more regal blue and gold with brown tones. Refreshingly different.
Two types of flaps are used. A large one that allows child to discover major story part. A smaller one that has child find various little objects and count them. And as the child engages in these activities, they are learning about the birth of the baby Jesus as it is simply told in text and lovely illustrations. Parents have directions on where to find related Scripture for the story elements on each page.
A special "First Christmas" book for the little ones.

This book is perfect for toddlers to teach them the Christmas story! They’ll love interacting with the book, giving you the opportunity to share with them about the birth of our Savior.
Looking Forward to Christmas
There are many scenes to explore, including Busy Bethlehem, The Shepherds, and Gifts for Jesus. My kids have asked me many times to read it before bedtime, and we’ve enjoyed looking forward to Christmas together.
I received a media copy of Seek and Find Christmas and this is my honest review.
I received Seek and Find The First Christmas Lift the Flap compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
Seek and Find The First Christmas Lift the Flap is a new board book based on the eponymous picture book. This version of the book is condensed making it fun for younger readers. There are multiple flaps to lift for each picture and I love that the first flap on each page contains Bible verses for parents and children to read together. The Bible verses and the book are about the birth of Jesus. This book includes the same lovely illustrations as the picture book and each page has multiple items for children to find akin to Where’s Waldo? or I Spy.
Each page has a quantity of items for readers to seek and find and the number increases with each page so children will also learn the basics of counting as they read this book. This is a very sweet book that is perfect for introducing young readers to the events that culminated in the birth of Jesus and I highly recommend it!
Such a fun additions to family Bible time when the littlest ones have their own book to follow along with!
This is the sweetest little board book that is geared towards toddlers age 1-3 years old. It has simple things to seek-and-find and flaps to lift on each page. My daughter is 21 months old and she LOVES it. It is simple enough to keep her attention during the story and of course flaps and things to find always help with that too. The illustrations are cute and engaging and I like that it includes references to corresponding Bible verses! This would make a great gift for a toddler this year. This series also includes a larger version of this book for slightly older children and an activity book!
This is a fun, modern, interactive little book. It is great for all ages as it engages the smallest member (with lifting the flaps) right up to the oldest, who helps the youngest find what they’re looking for ☺️ that is, on each page there is something to find.
All in all, we enjoyed this sweet little board book and would recommend it.
A great way to introduce your toddlers to the key truths of the first Christmas with interactive lift-a-flap features. This book was designed with seek and find fun and scripture references on each page, making it an engaging and informative read.
The First Christmas is a really sweet lift-the-flap board book, as well as a search and find, for toddlers.
Through this book children will learn all about the birth of Jesus.
I adore the flaps throughout this book, as well as the seek and find images on each page.
This so much fun for young kids!
The last page of the book includes a beautiful little prayer that reminds children the true reason we celebrate Christmas.
This is a lovely and sweet story that children aged 1-3 will enjoy.
We absolutely LOVE the larger version of this book and this little one is so great for little ones! It’s perfect for ages 1-3 and can be used alongside older siblings using the bigger book. It’s a sturdy book and the right size for tossing in a diaper bag. The flaps are easy for little hands to lift and the text is simple with easier to find items. It includes the Scripture reference and the only thing I’d like to see differently would be to just include the full Scripture on the page.
This board book tells the Christmas story with lift-the-flap elements and seek-and-find activities. I have previously enjoyed the other seek-and-find books by Sarah and André Parker, and this one is short and simple for younger children, with less detailed illustrations and fewer things to look for. Each page spread tells a different part of the Nativity story, with words on one side and an illustration on the other, and there are always two flaps to lift. One involves the main seek-and-find activity, which is obvious under the flap, and the other tells kids to look for something else that's smaller and more difficult to spot, such as a particular number of chickens. Also, just like with the other books in this series, the same small bird is hiding on every page.
The text is simple enough for babies and toddlers, and the illustrations are cute and appealing. I also like how the author notes Bible references on every page spread, helping parents connect that part of the story to the biblical narrative. This is a high-quality book that parents can use to introduce their little ones to the Christmas story, and this could also be fun for siblings to use together, since older siblings can help little ones with the more challenging activities. Since this book offers multiple seek-and-find elements, kids won't age out of it immediately, and it can appeal for repeat reads.
This is a great Nativity book for babies and toddlers. This is perfect for young children who enjoy seek and find activities, since the book simplifies the concept for little kids and includes staggered levels of difficulty. The simple story, fun illustrations, and cute interactive elements will appeal to many families, and this is also great for church nursery and Sunday school settings.
