Everyone needs a check up every now and then and Carl gives us a terrific little spiritual health check here. It helps us see where we may have drifted and then balances that out with Biblically helpful encouragement to get back on track. Here are helpfully penetrating questions and a lovely encouragement that although there are no quick steps to a thriving Christian life, we have all we need in Jesus and the ordinary means of grace.
How are you doing spiritually? That's not an easy question to consider, but it might be the most important question each of us ought to answer. Spiritual Healthcheck is a help to Christians to evaluate our spiritual health and get a proper reading on the pulse of our spiritual hearts. This book is so helpful that I'm already thinking about ways to get all the members in our church to read it!
Carl Laferton has provided a gift to the church in encouraging believers to see how God is working and providing hope for change. Like many believers, I have often wondered if I am growing as a Christian. The daily pressures of life, coupled with my own sin, can make it difficult to see the work that God is doing. "Spiritual Healthcheck" is a needed tool designed to help believers diagnose and treat their own spiritual health. Great to read with a friend or read it on your own.
I found the book to be very interesting and looked at my Christian walk
This is a great little spiritual wake up in these near Christ return times. We are using it in a men’s group, and it has been well received. Thank you very much.
Are you growing as a Christian? This short book, split into 16 daily readings, gives a diagnosis and remedy for those feeling stagnant in their faith. Thoroughly Christocentric. Highly recommend.
I found this book challenging and encouraging. The scriptures, commentary and questions helped me identify some areas where I could do better in a gentle and God focused way.
So far I have only read chapters, one, and two, but those two small chapters were full of blessings and new outlook’s into our faith. I have the privilege of teaching 16 men this booklet over the next two months, and pray that everyone will grow in their walk after receiving this booklet.
I am finding this book to be very helpful in stirring my faith afresh. It offers 16 short and easy to read chapters on your spiritual health. Ideal for individual or group study.
This slim book is packed full of probing questions and spiritual challenges. I have nearly finished and will be starting back at the beginning as soon as I do as I feel there are more layers to find.
I had ordered a book and after some time was asked to review it. I hadn’t received it and told them this, without question they said it must have got lost in the post and sent me a replacement. Great service. The book was Spiritual Checkup and I have found it to be a marvellous study resource and would recommend it to anyone.
Great resource with questions that cause you to take a second look at what’s really going on. Using with my prayer partner for Lent - focusing our prayers and support for each other. Encouraging, realistic and achievable approach.
I purchased 6 copies of this book for the leaders to re commence our Ladies breakfast and as this is now over Zoom, due to the pandemic. It is an ideal short study for each month of the year. It is helpful because it is a great devotional that focuses on our Spiritual Health! Each chapter has a different topic relevant to new believers and mature Christians.
