Really pleased, delivered on time, great quality, good price!
This is now our favourite book. It’s the book we read every night before sleep since we got it over a year ago!
Its lilting rhythmic wording is a perfect lullaby to stick in little heads and hearts. It’s a beautiful reminder of our purpose of parenting too.
I love that yes there’s big aspirations for a big career but also more simple everyday things too. It’s the constant pointing to Jesus that makes it the best book we have for our 2 year old.
My daughter (4) loves this little book! The board book, being a smaller size, is perfect for little hands to carry and as a result, she is often bringing it to me and asking me to read it to her. The words are soft, gentle and rhyming with a powerful message - “Whatever you do, wherever you go, I have a BIG DREAM I want you to know…I pray you’ll love Jesus with all of your heart, whatever you do. That’s the right place to start. He died for your sin. He makes all things new. You can trust in His words, they’re faithful and true.”
What an encouragement to a little one’s heart and no better words could be spoken to a child. I know this is my own dream for my daughter and this faith-filled message is strong. This sweet little book wonders at all the things a child could grow up to do, then reminds them to keep Christ at the center of their life and reminds the child that their loved one is cheering them on. The illustrations are imaginative and fun and the quality is sturdy. A definite recommendation from our family!
* I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts are my own and I was not required to write a positive review.
The Wherever You Go, I Want You To Know board book is a simplified adaptation of the original storybook by author and Bible teacher Melissa Kruger. My family really enjoyed the original book published by The Good Book Company and Addie, my oldest child, was even featured in a Little Reader Roundup on the publisher's blog the year the book was released.
This sweet story is a poem written to help young readers understand the gospel message in simple terms. Although this story is for young readers, my heart is encouraged every time I read it. I look forward to continually reading the board book with my two youngest children and can't wait to read more in this series!
I received the Wherever You Go, I Want You To Know board book compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
I want to tell my children every night that I love them and that I want them to love Jesus. Written by Melissa Kruger for ages 2-4, this board book is one you can read every night to your children to remind them of what really matters.
Jesus is Our Greatest Gift
The fun illustrations by Isobel Lundie will add charm to your readings, and seeing children with different skin tones will make your child feel welcome and at home. Recommended to be given at a baby shower or gender-reveal party, this is a book that will teach about the greatest gift we have in Jesus.
I received a media copy of Wherever You Go, I Want You To Know and this is my honest review.
Wherever You Go, I Want You to Know. . .by Melissa Kruger is such a great little board book. I love how this book invites children to see the possibilities for their lives. At the same time, it encourages them to have a relationship with Jesus in their life as they grow up.
The illustrations by Isobel Lundie are so cute too. I think this whole toddler board book is so much fun to read all the way around. The rhyming words just flow. It would be fun to read with little ones. It is also a small-sized board book that would be easy for them to learn to read and look at on their own as it measures approximately six by 7 1/2 inches. With the thick pages, these little books can stand up to some rough handling and still look pretty nice.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.
The message of Wherever You Go, I Want You to Know promises children that they can do and become anything that they want to as they get older, but the most important thing that they do, is to love Jesus.
Ms. Kruger has taken the opportunity to give the gospel message to little people that Jesus loves them and died for their sins.
It’s never too early to introduce children to this blessed message.
This book is perfect for any family with young children, Sunday school classroom, or even a church nursery.
Many thanks to The Good Book company for this complimentary product to review.
"Wherever You Go, I Want You To Know" is a book about a parent's desire for their child to know and love Jesus, no matter what they do when they grow up. I haven't read the original version, so I can't compare this abridged and simplified board book to it, but the board book feels complete, without anything missing in the text or illustrations. The book is simple and has a repetitive refrain, introducing various career opportunities, who Jesus is, and why it is so important to know him. The illustrations by Isobel Lundie are cute and diverse, showing boys and girls with different skin tones exploring future careers and spending time with their parents.
I was curious what the author removed from the board book version, so I read some reviews of the full-length book. As I expected, the original book included additional occupations, but it also talked about dealing with difficulty and suffering in the course of life. This board book does not mention anything about life setbacks or sadness, and just focuses on hope for the future and Jesus's love for the child. Personally, I think it's best to give children a vocabulary for sadness early on in a safe and loving way, but I can see how this would be an easy thing to drop for the sake of lightness and brevity.
I would recommend this book for families, churches, and Christian schools. Although the author primarily designed this for a parent to read with their child, the book never identifies the first-person adult voice in the text, and any adult can read this to children they care about. This book is suitable for small hands and makes a nice read-aloud, with rhythmic and sweet text. This would be a great gift for baby showers, christenings or baby dedications, and first birthdays.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I have not had the opportunity to read the original version of this book but after reading the board book version, I am confident the original is fantastic just as the board book is.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this book as the title isn't blatantly "Jesus" focused. But the storyline is absolutely wonderful.
Kruger utilizes repetition, rhyme and God's truth to present a very simple reminder to young children of what is our most important purpose in life: loving Jesus.
The first several pages take you on a ride through the possibilities of what you can do and be in this world. Then all of a sudden the course of the story changes direction and immediately presents the Gospel.
The statements are simple and understandable for toddlers but present the opportunity for greater discussion with parents or grandparents. Kruger bolds the words "sin", "new", "trust", "faithful", "true". These are deep, powerful words that present a lot of truth about God.
I really enjoyed this board book and will have to purchase the original version as well geared towards older children.

This is such a sweet book for a parent/guardian to read to their child, reminding them that whatever they end up doing in life and wherever they go, the most important thing for them is that they know Jesus. They could be rich and powerful, fame and fortune, or they could just live a very normal life. Either would be brilliant! What we really care about is that they know that Jesus died to save them and wants them to know him. Having bought the larger book a while ago, this new board book is an edition more suitable for toddlers and the illustrations are just lovely. Definitely recommend!
